Went to inspect at Temple Hill this
morning everything in Apple pie order
Conversed with Beatrice ’s friend
Quinn & was delighted with his
Western brogue. While there Violet
rang up to say Aunt May was curious
to know if we intended going to lunch
as we had arranged the day before.
From this I understood Aunt May
thought it too bad a day (very bad hail
snow showers) so I declared off.
I sent a cable to Marie, If leaving Malta
better come home." I had a letter from her
this morning saying they might be closing
up there & if she was asked to go further
East what was she to do.
After lunch I went in to see Aunt Kate
& Aunt Eveleen, both very fit Mollie
Callan was with Aunt E. I have not
met her for years.
Aunt Agnes rang up this evening that
she had the answers to her letters from
Washington & arranged to show them
if I called tomorrow.
