Ethel got a letter from Uncle Tom
enclosing one from United States
Embassy in London. They say they
cannot make enquiries about
individuals who are believed to be
prisoners except at the request of
the Foreign Office.
We had quite a number of visitors
this afternoon. Tom Macardle
Bernard O'Kelly & Charlie O'Kelly &
Ina Walshe. Harry did not come
out & is going into Leeson Street
Home for a cure. He has been
sicky with rheumatism. He had
a bad attack just before he came up
& thought he was dying so sent for
the priest etc.
The girls went over to the Castle
after dinner & played Vingt-et-un 1
Leo was very nervous but did not like
to show it as a new dog was biting
at his leg under the table.
Mrs. O'Kelly was rooked for 8/-
