This is another very cold day Tommy
complains bitterly & came home early
from town on that account.
I had to go to a meeting at Temple
Hill & had tea there to find him
here having tea here alone.
Ethel Violet & Beatrice have
gone for a drive in the small car
from Craigmore.
Tommy & I are due to dine at
Clyde Rd & as it is 6.30 I must
finish off.
Letter from Aunt Lily she had a
most enjoyable voyage & arrived
safely & is at the Floriana Hospital
which is supposed to be the best at
Malta. She had seen Marie who
she says has got very fat. They arranged
to meet in the afternoon & drove out to
Antonio Palace.

Thomas Patrick Martin
Born on St. Patrick’s Day, 17 March 1891 and died in 1954, Thomas Shannon Patrick was Mary Martin's son and was known in the family as Tommy. He served in the 5th Battalion of the Connaught Rangers, a famous Irish regiment of the British Army but survived the war. Temple Hill
