Letter from Major Whyte enclosing a
communication from the Red Cross at
Salonika, saying on making enquiries
about Lt C.A Martin they were told
by a Sergeant of your Corp that you were
wounded in the leg as well as the arm
I do hope yourwounds are doing well.
A long letter from Marie she had been
out with Aunt Lily & while they & some
of the other nurse [sic: nurses] from the Floriana
were at tea, some of the officers from
the Hospital ship came on & spoke to
them. They quietly got up & went out
as it is against the rules to talk with the
officers, but some of the girls stayed on &
may get into trouble.
We wired Marie to look into Colonel
Jourdain at Malta, as Mrs Jourdain
is very anxious about him having
only had wires, without his address.
He left Salonika not at all fit.
