Tommy explains in a letter this
morning that the he Mulligan & Major
Nolan O' Ferrall
have had orders
for the Mediterranean & will come
up meanwhile.
I had an answer from Lt Turner
he enclosed a letter he had from Mr Moloney
saying how he heard from the W.O.
his son Lt. Moloney was a prisoner just
about Xmas & that the American Charge
d'Affaires
reports him kindly treated
but he has not heard from him —
He thinks the 6th Dublins did not get
proper recognition from Sir Ian Hamilton
His letter is rather a quaint production
altogether.
Ethel & I went to town we met Aunt
Agnes
who was greatly interested to hear
that Tommy & the others were going out
She was very glad for Dick's sake.
We also met Aunt Eveleen.
The news of the day is the burning of
the Canadian House of Parliament.
Supposed to have been caused by German
spies. Six lives lost — 2 members injured.
