Very nasty morning cold & wet but
cleared up at intervals during the
day with heavy sleet & hail showers.
Uncle Johnny was our first visitor
he brought Maura with him Kathleen
laid up with sore throat & Aunt Eveleen
was not feeling fit. Uncle Tom & Aunt
Florrie came out later & were both in
great form.
I had asked Uncle Frank & Aunt Maisie
to dinner but the latter had a cold so could
not come. Aunt Agnes & Uncle Dick
were also expected & I asked Turner out
to meet Tommy. Mulligan had to leave
for the mail boat as he wanted to get back
to Edinburgh before being ordered out,
therefore I had arranged dinner at 7 oc
Aunt Agnes was a little late so we
started without them but they arrived
almost immediately. We got through
dinner fairly quickly so that we were
at the fruit course when Mulligan had
to leave.
Uncle Frank was in very good form
telling his usual good stories.
