Cold almost quite well went to 10 oc Mass
at Kingstown & strolled about the Garden.
Granny called soon after lunch she was
going on to the Castle to go with William
O’Kelly
to Fête at Cabinteely in aid
of the Hospital Supply Depôt. Ethel
went across with her & heard that
Bernard had broken two of his ribs
but did not go to hospital.
Dick is reported to have rheumatism
he expects to get home soon.
Long letter from Marie she is still
on night duty & nearly got into a
row one evening as she slept it out
but the Sister was very kind instead.
Sgt Chapman was in the hospital
& told Marie he was with you in
Servia [sic: Serbia] on the day you were wounded
& was quite sure you were not
killed. This has cheered us up
again immensely we hope to see
him when he comes home.
