I wrote to the Dublin Fusilier
Depot at Island Bridge to know
if they could give me the address
in Bulgaria of Pte M Courtney
as Lt Turner thinks he belongs
to your Company & may have been
with you when captured.
Letter from Tommy enclosed
menu with all the signatures
of the guests at St Patrick's Day 1
Dinner which seems to have
been a great affair. He also
said the Sports went off splendidly.
Editorial Notes1St Patrick is the Patron Saint of Ireland. St Patrick's Day is celebrated each year on March 17th. There was usually a festive dinner held in all the Irish regiments in the British Army on this day.
