Quite a blank day Violet & I
occupied ourselves with domestic
duties. It was a bitter cold day
I first went as far as the church to
make the Stations.
The War news is much the same
the Battle rages the Germans claim
to have taken villages & the French
say the [sic: they] evacuated them in good order
so you do not know where you are

Violet Mary Martin
Born on 29 August 1896, Violet Mary was Mary Martin's daughter. She worked as a nurse during the First World War and later became a Dominican nun. |
