March coming in like a lion torrents
of rain which with the melted snow means
floods everywhere.
Did not stir out till after lunch when
I went as far as the Church & to Brown’s
at Kingstown for cigarettes to enclose in
a parcel which I hope will reach
you. Aunt Rita sent me the name
of a Pte Jamie Donnachie who is
stationed at Tatar Bazarik I have
written him a card to know if he
can send news of you.
Violet home for tea she showed me a
piece of poetry given her by one of the
men called Mason, who in private
life was a journalist. It is supposed
to be original & about her.
Ethel gone to Temple Hill for Cup drill.
Aunt Eveleen has put off her arrival
till next week.
Wrote to Miss Neilan to say I could
not have her back for 3 weeks on account
of her sister having German measles.
