Two patients this morning I visited
the wards & found both on the mend.
Bitterly cold day with snow showers.
Met Aunt Rita to go to afternoon reception
at the Hibernian Academy in aid
of the R.D.F. Lady Moore was hostess
there was a fair crowd. Music was
contributed by a Lady's Orchestra. Some
soldiers of the 12th Lancers & Mona Moran
sang. A few of the pictures are very
good but there is a fearful lot of rubbish

Rita Levins Moore
Born ca. 1885. Mary Martin's sister, married John O'Conor Donelan, known as 'Jack' on 12th January 1910. Royal Hibernian Academy

The Royal Dublin Fusiliers, an Irish infantry regiment in the British Army which fought at Gallipoli, Salonika and on the Western Front. Parts of the regiment also helped suppress the Easter Rising in Dublin. Mary Martin's son, Charles was an officer in the 6th Battalion of the regiment. ? Moore
