Went into town to see about having
a cake sent out to Tommy for his
birthday & found I could only send
one up to 7lbs.
I paid a short visit to Aunt Eveleen
& then out to Temple Hill for the
Committee meeting after which I
went on to Craigmore hoping to see
Aunt Maisie, but she was still in
her room & would not see me.
There was a letter from Marie this
morning describing her visit to
Colonel Jourdain, she was misfortunate
as he was out when she first called &
only came in just a dinner time, so she
had hardly any time with him & was
to have called again to get an account
from him of the Retreat in Serbia.
She went again on Friday only to
hear he had left from England that
morning. She did not think him looking
too badly.
Ethel had a letter from B O Kelly he had
not much news but is fit again after a
touch of fever.
