DH@TCD is looking to appoint to a 24-month research position requiring experience of and interest in the field of computational literary studies. The primary purpose of this post is to contribute to the development of the CLS INFRA Project, and to lead Trinity’s contributions to it.

CLS INFRA is a four-year, European-funded research infrastructure project ​​charged with building shared resources for the field of computational literary studies, consisting of high-quality data, tools and knowledge to aid the development of new projects, data, tools and approaches relevant for the study of literature in the digital age. The project is being delivered by a team of 14 partner institutions across 11 countries, and it commenced work in March 2021. See the project website at https://clsinfra.io/.

Trinity’s role in the project is to lead a number of strategically important tasks to expand and ensure the future of computational literary studies, including empirical research designed to explore the potential needs of users from outside of academic research. Trinity’s contribution will also support the development of a strategic roadmap for infrastructure in the field, and maintain the project’s existing data management plan.
