This postgraduate student will be:<\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Enthusiastic about improving the quality of engagement between the postgraduate community and the research theme, and motivated to create ways to ensure this occurs.<\/li>\n<li>Confident in speaking to people from different backgrounds and expertise.<\/li>\n<li>Engaged in research related to Digital Humanities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The purpose of the Student Representative role is to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Represent the views of postgraduate students on matters relating to the theme.<\/li>\n<li>Act as a communication channel between committee members, theme members and postgraduate students.<\/li>\n<li>Engage the postgraduate community with the theme e.g. through student-led events.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Main duties and responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attend Digital Humanities Steering Committee meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to theme activities.<\/li>\n<li>Develop student-led events in-line with student needs.<\/li>\n<li>Be accessible to, and representative of, students working within the theme and beyond.<\/li>\n<li>Share information between staff, committee and postgraduate students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you are interested in joining the Digital Humanities Steering Committee and can commit to approximately 8 meetings in the next academic year, please send an expression of interest (max. 2 pages) to\u00a0Theme Convener, Prof. Jennifer Edmond (jennifer.edmond@tcd.ie).\u00a0 This should include a description of yourself, your research and what you hope to contribute to the theme.
