Aim of the Programme: The call is designed to support new, research-based ideas and knowledge in response to the rapidly and widely changing context with which heritage and heritage practice is faced. It invites research projects that help cultural heritage to meet societal challenges and contribute to the development of society. The call aims to fund excellent research that is collaborative, transnational, interdisciplinary and innovative. Three broad categories of the changing environments of heritage are addressed in this call:
1. changing (physical) environments
2. changing social and economic environments
3. changing political and cultural environments
Funding Duration: Projects must not exceed 36 months in duration. The latest starting date is 30 November 2018.
Eligible Countries: The countries participating in this call are: Belarus, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Italy, Norway, Poland, The Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. A project proposal must comprise of at least 3 research teams, each based in an eligible institution in a different country participating in the call. The maximum number of research teams in a project is 5.
Eligible Costs: The budget for each research team in the project must be eligible according to the relevant National Eligibility Requirements. In Ireland the budgets are set by the Irish Heritage Council who are making €50,000 available under this call. Overheads are not paid to Irish Universities as part of this grant.
