The Trinity College Dublin Centre for Digital Humanities is pleased to welcome members of the ERC-funded POSTDATA (www.postdata.linhd.es) project team to Dublin for a special 4 hours workshop and presentation. POSTDATA uses cutting edge technology to explore and open up poetic conventions and interconnections for researchers and readers alike. In addition to creating an environment for editing and sharing poetry across 10 European languages and a wide variety of theoretical backgrounds, the project is also developing a complex framework to aid researchers in the literary analysis of poetry. In particular, it is harnessing the semantic web, linked open data and natural language processing tools to foster interoperability and the emergence of new methods for poetry research delivered through a user-friendly interface. The project team will exhibit the developments already achieved, as well as work in progress and application examples.
Please note that places for this workshop are limited. If you want to attend, please contact doranm1@tcd.ie.
